Perfect Body

Smart skin prep can noticeably lift the results of non-invasive body sculpting. A few simple tweaks in the 1-2 weeks before your session help devices glide evenly, reduce post-treatment redness and make the whole visit more comfortable.

1-2 weeks out: build hydration and keep skin calm

  • Hydrate steadily. Well-hydrated tissue conducts energy more evenly, so sip water across the day. Keep caffeine moderate and go easy on alcohol and very salty foods to help minimise puffiness.
  • Moisturise daily. Use a light, fragrance-free body lotion to support the skin barrier. Well-conditioned skin is less prone to post-treatment dryness or itch.
  • Gentle circulation boosters. Short walks, easy stretching and unheated yoga can support lymphatic flow. If you dry brush, keep strokes light, always on intact skin, and stop if you see any redness.
  • Hair removal timing. If the area is very hairy, a close shave 24-48 hours before can help pads or gel make better contact. Avoid waxing, epilation or depilatory creams for at least 5-7 days before to reduce the chance of irritation.
  • Sun sense. Protect the area from sunburn and skip sunbeds. Tanned or sun-stressed skin is more reactive.

2-3 days before: refine the surface, skip strong actives

  • Do a light exfoliation 48-72 hours before. Use a gentle body scrub or a mild AHA lotion, then moisturise. Avoid anything abrasive the day before your visit.
  • Press pause on irritants. Avoid strong acids, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, menthol heat gels and fresh self-tan on the treatment areas for 72 hours before. These can heighten sensitivity.
  • Keep things simple after showering. Choose a basic, non-occlusive moisturiser and avoid thick oils on the day before treatment, which can interfere with pads or gel contact.
  • Mind your diary. Try to avoid high-intensity workouts, hot yoga and sauna the day before to limit excess heat in the skin and reduce swelling risk.
  • Meds and skin history. Tell your practitioner about any medical conditions, allergies, metal implants, hernias, or if you bruise easily. Do not stop prescribed medication without medical advice. If you have a known sensitivity to adhesives or ultrasound gel, we can adapt.

On the day: arrive product-free and comfortable

  • Come with clean, dry skin. Skip body oils, heavy lotions, deodorant and body makeup on the treatment area. These can reduce device contact or irritate warmed skin.
  • Wear loose layers. Soft waistbands and breathable fabrics help you stay comfortable and avoid friction after your session. Bring spare underwear if the area is the abdomen or thighs.
  • Eat and drink sensibly. Have a light meal 1-2 hours before and a glass of water. Avoid turning up hungry or overly full, especially for muscle-stimulation sessions.
  • Remove jewellery over the area and tell us about any new cuts, rashes or bites. We will adjust the plan if needed.
  • Expect a check-in. Your practitioner will review goals, take measurements or photos for progress tracking and perform a brief skin assessment before starting 💗

A little preparation goes a long way. Arrive calm, hydrated and product-free, and your skin will be set up for smoother contact and a more comfortable treatment. When you are ready to plan your visit, book your slot at book now.
